Baseball Recap: Beacon Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Beacon barely beat West 50th Street the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Demons blew past the Seahawks 8-1 on Thursday. Considering the Blue Demons have won four games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Beacon got a great performance from William Schecter as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 6.1 innings pitched. Schecter has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mason Patience was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jagger Bruch, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Beacon pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for West 50th Street, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

As of now, neither Beacon nor the Seahawks have any future games scheduled.
