Preview: Stratford Academy Eagles vs. Trinity Christian Crusaders
The Stratford Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Trinity Christian Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Stratford Academy, who comes in off a win.
After only 22 points in their last game, Stratford Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Glenwood on Saturday. Stratford Academy took down Glenwood 62-48. The victory was all the more spectacular given Stratford Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 297th in Georgia, while Glenwood is ranked 86th in Alabama).
Kaliya Walker was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shannon Smith, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian ended up a good deal behind First Presbyterian Day on Tuesday and lost 52-35. Trinity Christian has struggled against First Presbyterian Day recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Heritage's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Stratford Academy's defeat dropped theirs to 0-4.
