Volleyball Recap: Sutton Comes Up Short

Sutton lost against David City back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Scouts. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Sutton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22.

Kamryn Steinhauer paced Sutton's offense, picking up six kills. Steinhauer got some help from Elsa Andersen and her seven assists.

Sutton's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for David City, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sutton and David City will both be playing Fairbury the next time they take the court. The Scouts will head out to face the Jeffs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
