Nichols hasn't had much luck against Nardin Academy recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. The Vikings will host the Gators  at 4:30  p.m. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  game.
Nichols couldn't beat St. Mary's  on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Vikings came up short against  the Lancers, falling  15-5. The loss put an end to the Vikings' undefeated start to the season.
  Brynn Bacak made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ellery Jaworowicz, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs.
Meanwhile, Nardin Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  7-4 to St. Mary's.
Nardin Academy also got a good showing from  Lidia Foglia, who   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 At the plate,  Madison Scarpace was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.  Kara Krupski also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 Nardin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Nichols, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1.
Nardin Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Nichols hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .437. It's a different story for Nardin Academy, though, as  they've  only  averaged .237. Will they be able to contain Nichols' hitters?
 Nichols was able to grind out a solid  victory over Nardin Academy in their previous meeting  on April 7th, winning  12-9. Will the Vikings repeat their success,  or do  the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
