Basketball Recap: Wardlaw Hartridge Falls Despite Big Games from Jace Greene and Cian Nichols

Wardlaw Hartridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 49-29 to the Metuchen Bulldogs. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Wardlaw Hartridge had strong showings from Cian Nichols, who posted nine points, and Jace Greene, who had seven points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Metuchen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Hayes-Durina, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Smith, who put up ten points.

Wardlaw Hartridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Metuchen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Wardlaw Hartridge will face off against Highland Park at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Metuchen, they will welcome Middlesex at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
