After a string of seven wins, Mariposa County's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 11-3 to the Golden Valley Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Grizzlies have suffered since March 22nd.

Mariposa County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tylie Allison, who scored no runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Mariposa County's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Golden Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-9.

Coming up, Mariposa County will take on Waterford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Golden Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-3 defeat against Caruthers on the 14th.
