Baseball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lafayette's offense. They fell just short of the Bryan Station Defenders by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Defenders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Lafayette has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9-1 record this season. As for Bryan Station, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-9 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will challenge Paul Laurence Dunbar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bryan Station, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Tates Creek at 11:00 a.m.
