Recap: Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights vs. Cornerstone Eagles
The Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights and the Cornerstone Eagles squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights had to settle for second. They fell 58-46 to the Eagles. Westminster School at Oak Mountain has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cornerstone to victory, but perhaps none more so than De'Marion Burks, who scored seven points along with eight steals and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Holder, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Westminster School at Oak Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Cornerstone, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-16.
Westminster School at Oak Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cornerstone, they will head out on the road to take on Altamont at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Altamont will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Cornerstone surely won't give up without a fight.
