Football Game Preview: Middletown Middies vs. Lebanon Warriors

The Middletown Middies will face off against the Lebanon Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Middletown's defense has only allowed 9.1 points per game this season, so Lebanon's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Middletown will bounce into Friday's game after beating Princeton, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Middies came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 14-6 last Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Middies were the (much) better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Lebanon had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They slipped by Fairmont 22-21 on Friday.

Lebanon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.4 points over those games. As for Middletown, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
