Baseball Recap: Victoria Cobra HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Victoria Cobra HomeSchool saw some tournament action on Friday. They came up short against the Van Vleck Leopards, falling 9-2. The Cobra have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Victoria Cobra HomeSchool saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli G, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Nolan M also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Even though they lost, Victoria Cobra HomeSchool was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Victoria Cobra HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Van Vleck, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Coincidentally, Victoria Cobra HomeSchool and Van Vleck will both be playing Wharton the next time they take the field. Victoria Cobra HomeSchool will head out to face Wharton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Van Vleck will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
