Recap: South Charlotte T Thunder vs. Franklin Prep Academy National Cardinals
The South Charlotte T Thunder had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 63-62 photo finish over Franklin Prep Academy National. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Charlotte T to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Rullo, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Rullo has scored at least 25% of South Charlotte T's points. Aaron Hill was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight assists.
The win got South Charlotte T back to even at 8-8. As for Franklin Prep Academy National, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Charlotte T and Forsyth Home Educators will face off at 8:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Forsyth Home Educators focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday. As for Franklin Prep Academy National, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Comenius at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Comenius is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
