Basketball Recap: Scotland County Comes Up Short

Scotland County was the 42-29 winner over Putnam County when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Scotland County Tigers took a 56-40 bruising from the Putnam County Midgets on Saturday.

Scotland County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points over those games. As for Putnam County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14.

Coming up, Scotland County will square off against Knox County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Putnam County, they will head out to face off against Princeton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Putnam County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
