Soccer Recap: Alta Gets the Win

Alta was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Woods Cross Wildcats. The high-scoring effort was just what Alta needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Alta's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Woods Cross, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alta will take on Viewmont at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woods Cross, they will head out to take on Skyline at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Woods Cross will be up against Skyline's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.4 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
