Baseball Game Preview: Ann Sobrato Bulldogs vs. Evergreen Valley Cougars

For the second straight game, Ann Sobrato will face off against Evergreen Valley. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Ann Sobrato's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Evergreen Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Ann Sobrato nor Evergreen Valley made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Bulldogs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Cougars a 4-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

The result came thanks to Liam Bettencourt's shutout, as he gave up just a hit.

At the plate, Vince Pomo was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Ann Sobrato hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matches.

Ann Sobrato's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Evergreen Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-16.
