Softball Recap: Coolidge Takes a Loss

Coolidge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Avalon Eagles, falling 28-10. Even if the Yellowjackets couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Haylie B. made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence B., who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Coolidge's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Avalon, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coolidge will square off against Trinidad at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Avalon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cross Roads at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
