Volleyball Recap: Big Rapids' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Big Rapids came into Tuesday's match having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Mason County Central Spartans on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted since September 20th.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (71-66) Big Rapids actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 26-24, 25-22.

Big Rapids picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 8-21-1. As for Mason County Central, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-18-3.

Big Rapids wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Onekama on the 28th. As for Mason County Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Manistee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
