Baseball Game Preview: Sharon Eagles vs. Canton Bulldogs

The Sharon Eagles will challenge the Canton Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Sharon took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Dover-Sherborn, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Raiders 4-2. Four seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Canton hadn't done well against Taunton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bulldogs never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

The result came thanks to Teddy Shuman's shutout, as he gave up just four hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Canton is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Canton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shane Kelleher, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Kelleher has posted since back in May of 2025. JT Norton also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The victory got Canton back to even at 4-4. As for Sharon, the win also got them back to even at 4-4.
