Softball Recap: La Center Wins Going Away Against Stevenson

La Center was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Stevenson on Friday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering the Wildcats have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

La Center has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Stevenson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. La Center is set to square off against their familiar foe Fort Vancouver at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Stevenson will take on rival Columbia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
