Basketball Recap: Bangor Slaters vs. Pottsville Crimson Tide
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bangor can now relate to. They fell just short of the Pottsville Crimson Tide by a score of 33-30 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 62 points in the game before, the Slaters couldn't push the score so high this time.
Christian Alvarez was his usual excellent self, as he made all 5 shots he took for 14 points for Pottsville. Alvarez is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 100% in the last 29 games he's played dating back to last season.
Bangor's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Pottsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.
