Football Recap: Independence Skates Past Homestead with Ease

Independence never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Homestead Mustangs 28-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the 76ers.

Independence now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Homestead, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Independence will take on rival Evergreen Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Homestead is set to square off against their familiar foe Lynbrook at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
