Basketball Game Preview: Victoria West Warriors vs. Randle Lions

The Victoria West Warriors will head out to square off against the Randle Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Victoria West against Fort Bend Kempner as the team secured a 71-18 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Randle entered their tilt with Victoria East on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 54-47 victory over the Titans.

Victoria West's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Randle, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Victoria West beat Randle 57-49 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Randle's Alaysia Cook, who went 9 for 20 on her way to 24 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
