They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Richland Raiders. The win was some much needed relief for Giles County as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carter Kelley made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Kelley was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Austin Kilpatrick was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Maddox Goode, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-5.
