Baseball Recap: Woodward Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Woodward's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Bethany Bronchos, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Boomers in their meetings with the Bronchos: they've now lost five in a row.

Woodward's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Bethany, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

Coming up, Woodward is taking a road trip to take on Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Boomers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bethany, they will be playing at home against Del City at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are coming into the game with 11 straight wins on the road, so the Bronchos will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
