Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeland). They breezed by the Solon Springs Eagles to the tune of 93-36 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Thunderbirds sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Lakeland pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Solon Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.

Lakeland and Solon Springs should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Lakeland (ranked 35th) will meet Northland Pines (ranked 365th) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Solon Springs will take on Drummond at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday up 218 places (194 vs. 412).
