Hilton Head Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Thomas Sumter Academy a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Hilton Head Prep, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Spartanburg Day who was credited with the win on Monday. The Griffins got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Pee Dee Academy's four.

Reese Cook and Matty Lyle scored both of Spartanburg Day's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Hilton Head Prep's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven contests. As for Spartanburg Day, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
