Basketball Game Preview: Liberty-Benton Eagles vs. Defiance Bulldogs

The Liberty-Benton Eagles will square off against the Defiance Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Liberty-Benton will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Liberty-Benton is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing McComb: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Liberty-Benton blew McComb out of the water with a 65-27 final score. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Defiance unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 59-40 fall against Elida.

Liberty-Benton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points per game. As for Defiance, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.
