Softball Recap: Elton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Johnson Bayou last Monday, Elton came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Merryville Panthers on Tuesday, falling 15-1. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Elton's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Merryville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Elton will face off against Crowley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gent have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Merryville, they will take on Grand Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
