Baseball Recap: Little Miami Comes Up Short

Little Miami and Archbishop Moeller squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Little Miami had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-2 to the Fighting Crusaders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Fighting Crusaders: they've now lost three in a row.

Little Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Archbishop Moeller, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 23-6.

Little Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Archbishop Moeller, they will take on Grove City at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greyhounds' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Fighting Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
