Football Recap: Lucas Comes Up Short

Lucas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Amanda-Clearcreek Aces and fell 35-7. While losing is never fun, the Cubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 610th, while the Aces are ranked 225th).

Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lucas will head out to face off against Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, they will challenge Logan Elm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Aces will be up against the Braves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
