Softball Game Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Cedar Reds

Dixie is 2-8 against Cedar since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Dixie will host Cedar at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dixie is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Desert Hills, falling 12-0.

Meanwhile, Cedar unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 9-3 to Springville. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Reds have suffered since April 2, 2024.

Cedar saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sloane Fielding, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Fielding has posted over her last 11 contests.

Cedar's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
