Basketball Recap: Camas County Takes a Loss

Camas County and Garden Valley squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Camas County had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Garden Valley Wolverines and fell 62-32. The Mushers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Madix Miller was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds for Garden Valley. That's the most boards Miller has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Trevor Corn, who earned ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

The loss snapped Camas County's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-11 record. As for Garden Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Camas County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garden Valley, they will challenge Cascade at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
