Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Sinai). They were the clear victors by an 18-4 margin over the Huntington Blue Devils on Friday. The Mustangs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2024 (when they won 17-1).

Nicholas Teraico tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Benny Franquiz and Jackson Paplin did most of the damage at the plate: Franquiz went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Paplin went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Paplin has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Keith Hall, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Mount Sinai's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Huntington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
