Basketball Recap: Pleasant Piles Up the Points Against Galion

A well-balanced attack led Pleasant over Galion in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Pleasant Spartans blew the Galion Tigers out of the water with a 57-24 final score. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Tigers are ranked 681st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pleasant is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Galion, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant will take on Tree of Life Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Galion, they will square off against River Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
