Basketball Recap: Harrison Takes a Loss

Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 43-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ardsley Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Panthers are ranked 75th).

Iva Corluka was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds for Ardsley. Dylan Paley was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Ardsley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Harrison will take on Eastchester at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrison is facing Eastchester at the right time seeing as Eastchester is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ardsley, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hendrick Hudson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Hendrick Hudson has won five straight at home, while Ardsley won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
