Zamaurious Robertson commands the offense for a Wildcats win

Recap: Dillon Wildcats vs. Hartsville Red Foxes

The Dillon Wildcats waltzed into their matchup Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Hartsville by a score of 62-50. For Dillon, this counts as revenge for the 59-44 loss Hartsville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.

Dillon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zamaurious Robertson, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Samuel, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds and four steals.

Several Red Foxes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayson Dawson, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Braden Crawley, who scored 12 points.

Dillon pushed their record up to 5-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Hartsville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Dillon will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lake View at 7:30 p.m. Lake View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Dillon is ranked 111th). As for Hartsville, they will head out on the road to face off against South Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in South Florence's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
