Basketball Recap: Two Rivers Triumphs

Two Rivers won the last time they faced Richfield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Two Rivers Warriors walked away with an 80-69 victory over the Richfield Spartans.

Richfield's loss came despite strong showings from Aniiya Johnson and Desirai Chappell. Johnson went 10 for 21 en route to 29 points and five steals, while Chappell posted 21 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. That's the most points Johnson has posted since back in February of 2024. Iona Macnabb was another key player, putting up nine points.

Two Rivers' win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Richfield, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 13-4 record.

Two Rivers will take on Simley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richfield, they will square off against Visitation at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
