The Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  8-6  victory over the Santiago Cavaliers. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Rancho Alamitos.
  Isac Montalvo made a splash no matter where he played. He  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. Montalvo was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ethan Pardo, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Carson Labossiere, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Rancho Alamitos has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record  this season. As for Santiago, they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-10.
