Volleyball Game Preview: Steele Comets vs. Northview Wildcats

The Steele Comets will venture away from home to square off against the Northview Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Steele came up short against Springfield on Friday, falling 3-0. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Steele was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Northview lost 3-0 to Springfield on Thursday.

Northview was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 27-25, 25-14.

Steele's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Northview, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Steele couldn't quite get it done against Northview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Steele avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
