Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Monache

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Monache had no problem doing just that on Friday. They never let the Tulare Western Mustangs get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 27, 2021, but that streak is no more.

The result came thanks to Brody McCoy's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

On the hitting side, Monache saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Baxter, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Monache's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Tulare Western, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13-1.

As of now, neither Monache nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
