Basketball Game Preview: Vinton County Vikings vs. River Valley Raiders

Vinton County has won five straight games at home, while River Valley has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Vinton County Vikings will welcome the River Valley Raiders at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long.

Last Wednesday, Vinton County took a blow against Athens, falling 62-26. The Vikings have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, River Valley beat Alexander 38-26 on Thursday.

Vinton County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for River Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
