Softball Recap: Liberty Gets the Win

Liberty never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Oskaloosa on Saturday. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 11-8. For the Lightning, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 win the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2018.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Oskaloosa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Liberty will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Dubuque Senior at 5:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Oskaloosa, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-1 loss against West Liberty on the 30th.
