Baseball Game Preview: Fennimore Golden Eagles vs. Riverdale Chieftains

The Fennimore Golden Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Riverdale Chieftains at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fennimore will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Fennimore's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Monday's struggle, when Lancaster hitters got past them. The Golden Eagles came out on top against the Flying Arrows by a score of 16-12 on Monday. The Golden Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Shawn Jahnke-Fiedler was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Gianni Filardo also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Jahnke-Fiedler wasn't the only one making solid contact: Fennimore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Riverdale came up short against Dodgeville on Monday, falling 12-1. The Chieftains haven't had much luck with the Dodgers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Fennimore's record now sits at 4-0. As for Riverdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
