They fell just short of Edgewood by a score of 53-50 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since January 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, Carlisle played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Ross and fell 60-17. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 538th, while the Rams are ranked 171st).

Carlisle dropped their record down to 6-11 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Eaton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Eaton didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Carlisle when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 48-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eaton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
