Volleyball Preview: Canyon Comanches vs. Sunny Hills Lancers
The Canyon Comanches will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Sunny Hills Lancers at 5:30 p.m.
Last Thursday, Canyon didn't have quite enough to beat El Dorado and fell 3-2.
Canyon took El Dorado into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 12-25, 26-28, 25-19, 15-7.
Meanwhile, Sunny Hills earned a 3-1 win over Foothill on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.
The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18.
Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Sunny Hills, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Canyon took their win against Sunny Hills in their previous meeting back in August of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canyon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
