Basketball Game Preview: Melrose Golden Wildcats vs. Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs

Having just played yesterday, the Melrose Golden Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Melrose earned a 17-8 victory over Memphis School of Excellence Winchester.

Meanwhile, Raleigh-Egypt gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They walked away with a 62-54 win over Booker T. Washington. The Pharaohs have beaten the Warriors the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Melrose couldn't quite finish off Raleigh-Egypt in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 and fell 75-72. Can the Golden Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
