Newman Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Turner, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Newman Smith (ranked 500th) will meet Wakeland (ranked second) at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Turner will face off against Highland Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 258 places (267 vs. 9).
