Football Game Preview: North Kingstown Skippers vs. Burrillville Broncos + Official Tickets

North Kingstown is a perfect 4-0 against Burrillville since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Skippers will square off against the Broncos at 12:00 p.m. North Kingstown will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

North Kingstown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Central, who was ranked ninth at the time (North Kingstown was ranked third). In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Skippers made off with a 29-28 victory over the Knights.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Kingstown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nickolas Stafford, who rushed for 262 yards and two TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Stafford's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 132 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Diano, who rushed for 84 yards and one score on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Kingstown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 408 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 198 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

North Kingstown didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ethan MacHado.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Burrillville, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They took down Woonsocket 49-34 on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Broncos considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

North Kingstown's record now sits at 4-1. As for Burrillville, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything went North Kingstown's way against Burrillville in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as North Kingstown made off with a 31-7 win. Do the Skippers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
