Recap: Kirtland Central Broncos vs. Dixie Flyers
The Kirtland Central Broncos won the last time they faced the Dixie Flyers, and things went their way on Friday too. Kirtland Central walked away with a 60-51 win over Dixie. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kirtland Central.
Defeat or not, Dixie got some senior leadership from Kealah Faumuina who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 10 rebounds and Hali Smith who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Faumuina scored a full 52.9% of Dixie's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. jaycee bundy was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Kirtland Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kirtland Central is on the road again on Saturday and play against Page at 3:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Page will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Dixie, they will head out on the road to face off against Moapa Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
