 Borrego Springs pushed their score all the way to ten on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell  13-10 to the Hamilton Bobcats. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Borrego Springs in their matchups with Hamilton: they've now lost five in a row.
  Mauricio Rodriguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brody White, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Borrego Springs was hitting in the alleys and  finished the game with three  doubles. That's the most  doubles they've managed all season.
 On Hamilton's side, they got a  massive  performance out of  Alex Velasquez, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Gustavo Villalobos, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Borrego Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-4.
 Borrego Springs will be playing at home against Calipatria at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Borrego Springs has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hamilton, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Desert Christian Academy at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday.
