Football Game Preview: South Beauregard Knights vs. Westlake Rams + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Jacob Marcantel and Braylon Garrick are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The South Beauregard Knights will square off against the Westlake Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Beauregard is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, South Beauregard came up short against St. Louis Catholic and fell 17-7. The contest marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Westlake also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Lake Charles College Prep by a score of 26-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Trailblazers: they've now lost six in a row.

Although Westlake took the loss, they still got scores from Dax Duhon and Brody Anderson.

South Beauregard's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Westlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. South Beauregard has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 153 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Westlake struggles in that department as they've been averaging 203.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

South Beauregard suffered a grim 41-20 defeat to Westlake in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Anderson, who rushed for 154 yards and three scores while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns. Now that the Knights know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
